The Woman behind the Malmö Posted on January 28, 2016

Speaking in an interview with VOGUE España, Berta Bernad, fashion photographer, blogger and most importantly the designer of the hugely popular Malmö bag says, “I grew up in an environment surrounded by creativity and which allowed me to develop a hobby that has now become my job!”

This passion is conveyed whether in front of or behind the camera, as the nature of Berta´s images never changes from fresh, youthful and exuding a sense of enthusiasm, with styles that are so on trend that leading fashion brands J.Crew and H&M have dubbed her a style icon.

It is, of course, the timeless, minimalist and utterly classic Malmö bag that was designed by Berta Bernad for Bucarelli, and draws it´s name from one of the most futuristic European cities. Inspired by this feat of engineering and design, Berta created the clean cut and minimal Malmö to evoke the architectural landscape and play on proportions of this Scandinavian metropolis. Her goal being the formation of a simple but chic accessory, which combines the necessary practicality of an everyday bag with the utmost wearability of a staple wardrobe essential. A piece that encompasses the timeless fashion trend of the Tote.

I can´t wait to get my hands on one!
